Thats very interesting, it’s amazing what us humans can engineer.
Yeap, w/o engineers, nothing will be for this world I guess, as there are tons of products that rely on oil and gas extracts. Anyway, if looking for opportunities, can try this site ( e a s t s t o p . c o m ) that I had signed up lately. Not bad as it provides jobs in engineering sectors especially oil & gas jobs, rig jobs.

@floatpool I thought that far out helicopter was the only way. How long is the trip on a crew boat?
they stick your asses on a crew boat when you work for a cheap company, or the weather is bad and they can’t fly. It doesn’t matter how far the rigs are out in the gulf..if you run into weather drilling doesn’t stop..you need people on the rig, they get people on the rig. Can you say, “seasick”?
